Evans Cycles introduced internet kiosks 18 months ago and the new service adds the home delivery aspect.

Payment is on-line through either credit or debit card. In stock items will usually be delivered within three working days. Store2Door can also be used to send gifts.

The service covers the complete Evans Cycles stock range as appears on the website.

Ben Hart, Evans Cycles marketing manager said: “Our sales were up a third in 2005 adn this success has been down to many factors but one of the most important has been our emphasis on making shopping at Evans Cycles easier for our customers, whether they are shopping in-store, over the phone, through our catalogue or on-line.”

An Evans Cycles customer survey found that over 80 per cent of in-store bike purchases were researched on the company’s website prior to visiting the store to purchase.
