ETRA/LEVA seminar speakers confirmed

ETRA and Leva’s speaker schedule has been confirmed for the trade dinner to be held on the last night of Eurobike.

The speakers are as follows:

Tony Hoyland, CEN consultant, will give first hand information on the relationship between EN 15194, the Machinery and the EMC Directive and will explain how to comply in expectation of the harmonisation of EN 15194.

Alain Vassart, secretary general of the European Battery Recycling Association, will explain obligations concerning the collection and recycling of batteries as a result of the Battery Directive.

John de Roche, battery development manager at Clean Mobile AG, will give full details on the stringent UN rules governing the transport of Lithium Ion batteries, which apply to manufacturers, importers, retailers and consumers.

Annick Roetynck
, ETRA secretary general and ETRA’s representative in the European Commission’s working group on motorcycles, will explain the different vehicle categories, the difference between EN 15194 and European type-approval procedure. She will also explain the on-going review of type-approval legislation.

The September 4th meet kicks off at 9.30 am and will be held in the Berlin room, Foyer East, 1st floor.
