EBCO hires Wild as product and brand manager

EBCO has appointed Simon Wild as its new product and brand manager.

Paul Stanforth, EBCO managing director, said: “It’s been our intention to move the EBCO brand into a more prominent market position and the 2020 range will see Shimano and Bafang motor systems featuring in our line-up.

“Simon with his extensive bike design experience and his close handle of the current market trends was the ideal person to head up and take forward the EBCO brand design to its next level.

“We have watched the Saracen brand (our previous company) progress under Simon’s control at Madison over the last ten years and have been impressed, so when he became available he was the obvious choice.”

Wild said: “Having spent the last ten years steering the Saracen brand I was ready for a new challenge.

“The electric bike market is growing at a very fast pace so the opportunity of working with Rick and Paul taking the EBCO brand to a new level presented an exciting opportunity, and I am already translating my current e-bike thoughts into our new 2020 range that will be launched at the Birmingham Cycle Show in September.”
