Eurobike saw the release of the first line of Deluxe BMX complete bikes due to land in 2010. Two new completes were unveiled on the stand – the entry-level ‘Expert’ model, and the mid-range ‘Team’ model – a top of the line ‘Pro’ model is also planned for imminent release early next year.
The complete bikes are hand-built in Germany at KHE’s assembly plant, but these are not simply KHE bikes with different stickers – they are designed from the ground up with a bespoke Deluxe 2010 frame, bars, and a choice selection of components designed to hit the relevant price-points, giving riders a great bike at the right prices.
Both the Expert and Team models come with aftermarket Deluxe recycled grips and Superlight Seat Combo, 25:9 gearing, 36 spoke double-walled rims, 3pc cromoly cranks, Affix front-loading stems, KHE aftermarket dirt tyres, aluminium pedals, and Midsize bottom brackets. The Expert model retails for right around £340, whereas the fully-loaded Team bike comes with a full 4130 chromoly frame, forks, and bars, 3pc KHE cranks with sealed Mid BB, sealed bearing hubs, and KHE Lolita cassette hubset and retails for £469.
Brand owner Mark Noble commented: "What’s more, the complete bike line is strictly limited edition – each model comes in two colours, and each colour is limited to just 50 bikes. Keeping them limited edition assures exclusivity, and running small numbers like this keeps things interesting – and once they’re gone, they’re gone. Delivery is due in October, and we’re taking pre-orders now from dealers."
