Deliveroo trials Tern’s compact e-cargobike

Deliveroo is to trial food deliveries in London by a compact e-cargobike thanks to a tie-up with Tern of Taiwan. The app-based food delivery service is testing out a Tern GSD.

The GSD is a compact utility e-bike capable of handling up to 400lb of cargo. Deliveroo anticipates the bike being useful for larger, corporate orders where a rider on a standard bicycle might struggle to carry the extra weight.

Tern marketing director Terry Chen said: "Deliveroo is a fast-moving innovator known for making sustainable choices and for always looking after their riders’ safety and well-being

"As the ultimate delivery bike, we expect the GSD will help Deliveroo achieve just that."
