Robin Williams’ favourite framebuilder Dario Pegoretti has died at the age of 62.
Pegoretti originally built steel and aluminium frames for cycling brands such as Bianchi and Pinarello before branching out on his own. His bikes have been ridden to victory by Miguel Indurain, Stephen Roche, Mario Cipollini, Claudio Chiappucci and Marco Pantani.
He apprenticed with master Italian framebuilder Luigino Milani, who later became his father-in-law.
