It’s a bright and sunny start for the Earls Court show, which bodes well for public attendance. Some pix here.
You’d almost think the show was already open to the public: the aisles are busy and stands are packed with the great and good of the British cycle retail scene.
BikeBiz will report on the show announcements over the next few days. One of the first press launches was the unveiling of The Tour Series, from SweetSpot, the organisers of the Tour of Britain.
This is a 10-venue crit series to take place late May and June from 2009 onwards.
Likely city centre venues could include Darlington, Derby, Exeter, Milton Keynes, Woking and York.
Recogise the venues? They’re mostly Cycling Demonstration towns. Cycling England is one of the supporters of the series.
Unlike other crits, this will be team-based not just for individual glory.
