Cycle Show NEC to offer “reduced stand rates”

The 2011 instalment of the Cycle Show has not only broadened its trade appeal with a central location, but BikeBiz has today been told the organisers can now offer "significantly reduced stand rates."

In a move announced at the close of the 2010 show, the NEC arena in Birmingham will host the 2011 exhibition, which organisers hope will draw crowds in excess of 35,000.

To be held from September 29th to October 2nd, with the first day of show dedicated to trade exclusive access, the show has upped its appeal to consumers looking to road test 2012 models. Thanks to the additional space, 1,000 metres have been set aside for the mountain bike test track, while the commuter test track extends to 250 metres.

Cycle Show organisers have also spoken of "key names already signed up" for the 2011 dates, though could not at this stage name names.

Cycle Show event director, Andrew Brabazon commented: “With huge support from the world’s best brands and our features dramatically up scaled, we are really excited to be delivering a show, the likes of which has never been seen, in the UK.

"With our current exhibitors and the long list of new exhibitors eagerly awaiting the move, The NEC will provide the Cycle Show with the springboard to significantly increase both trade and consumer audiences, by providing a truly national ‘one big show’."
