Courier companies are reportedly already struggling to cope with the surge in demand from online retail this Christmas.
Similarly to the chaos of this time last year, minus the snow (across most of the UK), the courier industry is faced with the delivery of around four million parcels per day. This has sparked some firms to put a cap on the volume of orders delivery services will take from online retailers.
The volume of goods ordered is expected to top last year by around 15 per cent, with an estimated value of £7.75 billion.
