Fabric has already designed out cages from the traditional bottle/cage set-up by using plug mounts, but one Kickstarter innovator has gone further by creating a universal bottle offering that requires no cage, plug mounts or anything else.
The aptly-named ClipOn bottle is shaped to clip directly around a frame – or golf cart, pram or rail.
The ClipOn is actually two bottles in one, so riders can take two different drinks with them. The two S-shaped bottles are attached with a clip in the middle, with a non-slip layer on the inside of the bottles.
The reusable BPA-free bottle is dishwasher proof with a 600ml volume. It’s a Dutch design and has an opening range of 1.5 to 3.5cm (or 0.6 to 1.4inches).
The Kickstarter campaign is aiming to reach €85,000 – it’s at €6,341 at time of writing, with 13 days left to hit the target.
