The first fruits of the collaboration between bike brand Storck Raddar and high performance engineering firm Cosworth have now been launched to the trade.
The duo’s collaboration, announced at the start of February this year, has resulted in the Storck Cosworth EFV e-bike.
The EFV is a carbon fibre bicycle sporting a Shimano Deore XT groupset and hydraulic disc brakes alongside a high performance 250W motor producing 60Nm of torque, powered by a 25.5V Lithium polymer battery. Retail price is £3,999.
“We see this collaboration with Storck Bicycle as an exciting way to continue our diversification strategy, and learn about applying our engineering technology and skills to bicycles and e-bikes,” said Cosworth chief exec Tim Routsis.
Storck founder and chief exec Marcus Storck said the collaboration is the ideal way to launch Storck’s e-bikes in the UK: “Working with Cosworth is an honour for Storck Bicycle. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to build a working partnership with a well respected engineering and technology company.
“The timing is perfect for this innovative product to be launched to the market. There has been enormous growth in the use of electric bikes in mainland Europe, and the time is right for the product to take off in the UK.”
