Channel 4 and British Eurosport will show the key action from the summer’s gruelling Trois Etapes ride.
The event, running July 26th to 29th, sees 14 charity teams go head-to-head over four days on intense riding in the Alps, mirroring Alpine stages of the Tour de France. Team Time Trials take place across the four days, including a flat prologue and three mountain stages.
The event is in its second year and sees teams of amateurs ride under the leadership of pro riders. The event incentivises tactical riding – teams compete for prize funds which are donated to their selected charity.
Last year the event raised $1.7 million for its charity partners, making it the largest pro-am charity cycling event of its kind, according to the organisers.
The 30-minute highlights package will showcase the Trois Etapes pro-am format, with broadcast dates and times for the Channel 4 and British Eurosport programmes yet to be revealed. Cyclevox will film and produce the programme.
