The $1099 Runabout commuter bikes are closer to the Burley ideal of producing distinctive products for discerning, ‘differently-oriented’ consumers. They have disc brakes, mudguard eyes and racks (slightly modified from the bomb-proof racks used for the Piccolo trailer bike).
There’s a 27-speed derailleur version but the headturner is the internal hub version. It’s the SRAM Spectro S7 internal hub. There’s also an eccentric bottom bracket. Single speed anyone?
