Brum’s BMX World Championships seek volunteers

British Cycling and Birmingham City Council are looking for volunteers to fill the final few volunteer roles and become part of the team at the forthcoming UCI BMX World Championships to be held 24-27th May.

This will be "an unmissable opportunity to see the world’s best BMX racers up close and personal," said British Cycing’s Paul Rowlands.

"If being part of the event wasn’t reward enough, every volunteer will receive an exclusive World Championship t-shirt, free meals and other exclusive benefits. Some of the roles required start from 21st May and are not just during competition time.

"We have a limited number of exciting roles still available so whether you fancy escorting elite athletes to the anti-doping area as an Anti-Doping Chaperone, assisting with the security of bikes and equipment in team areas as a Wings Checkpoint Assistant, helping competitors line up to race on the track as a Pre Staging – Race Marker or any of the other roles available, there’s plenty of opportunity for you to get involved and experience the world’s best BMX racing at the same time."
