An interview with Brompton managing director William Butler-Adams over on Fast Company suggests that an electric Brompton is in the prototype stages and could launch in 2011.
Conversion kits have been around for a while now, most notably the Nano Kit supplied by the Electric Wheel Company, though are a very niche product. Though details are thin on the ground, this is the first time the London manufacturer has hinted the integration of a motor into its folding bike.
