Brompton releases its first commuter clothing range

London based bicycle manufacturer Brompton has released its first-ever clothing range, partnering with Scottish performance clothing brand Endura.

Kenny Kelly, Brompton’s design and development manager, said: “We’d long asked ourselves the question of what makes the ultimate city apparel for the Brompton rider.

“Technical performance, weather protection and day/night visibility were no-brainers but the reality is that for most city dwellers your ride only takes up a small percentage of your day.

“By focusing on the real needs of city riders we’ve created a range that helps riders feel comfortable and look great both on and off the bike, and in doing so help change the way people experience cities.

“In Endura, we found a fantastic partner with a stellar reputation, bags of experience in developing and producing great riding gear, and an ethos that mirrors our approach at Brompton. They have truly excelled in bringing our vision to life!”

The collection includes the London waterproof jacket, the Barcelona windproof packable jacket, the New York insulated reversible gilet, the London windproof glove, Barcelona Coolmax socks and the New York multitube.

Pamela Barclay, Endura’s brand director, added: “A collaboration between Endura and Brompton makes total sense for so many reasons.

“Both brands are iconic British institutions and share a vision that chimes with the current zeitgeist of getting more folk to ditch the car and get on bikes.

“The ‘Brompton powered by Endura’ collection has turned out some really pukka premium riding kit – contemporary classics that are minimalist and yet loaded with discrete features and that move effortlessly from the street to the subway to the office – just like the Brompton bikes.

“Brompton had a very clear vision of what they were looking to achieve and Endura was able to bring that to life both aesthetically and technically.

“We are very excited to see this collection launch.”

The collection is available now from Brompton’s website and Brompton Junction London stores, with a wider global release in September. For more information visit https://www.brompton.com/accessories/city-apparel.
