Ashima grows 700 per cent in under two years

Sales of brake brand Ashima have grown by almost 700 per cent since the manufacturer was first brought to the UK last year.

The firm said that its SOS – Sintered/Organic/Sintered – pad range had been a key driver of sales so far in 2009, with the Ashima Sintered and Semi-Metal pads reportedly gaining a reputation for being amongst the toughest and most reliable on the market.

Ashima, which is distributed exclusively in the UK by Zyro, recently showcased the world’s first Pistonless Hydraulic Caliper at Taipei.

"Ashima is one of the most innovative brands we’ve ever worked with and their UK success is testament to this," said brand manager Paul Caswell. "The future is even more exciting with a raft of new products to come, like the World’s first Pistonless Hydraulic Caliper.”
