Lifeboat Events, producers of the US PressCamp and DealerCamp events for the cycling industry, has appointed Christopher Zigmont to a full-time role.
Zigmont, a partner in the business since its inception, had been working with Lifeboat Events part-time as an advisor for branding and marketing while consulting for a number of sport industry clients.
Lance Camisasca, president of Lifeboat Events, said:
“Business has grown to the point where we frankly needed more hands on deck. Zig has been part of this concept since the beginning, so it just made sense bringing his skill-set into the boat full time."
Zigmont is to handle event-marketing direction, sustainability leadership (company bike rides?) and participate with the team in client relations.
Zigmont said:
“Lance and I have been eager to work together again since our time together at Mavic in the mid-nineties. If I could borrow a phrase from Lance, we’ve always had a ‘Lennon and McCartney’ collaborative spirit that has typically produced great results.
"So for me, this is picking up where we left off, sometime around Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, I suppose."
