Neil Dexter, 50, 'sat screaming in his van' when he read winning ticket

York IBD scoops £3.7 million on National Lottery

The York Press has reported that a local independent bicycle dealer has scooped £3.7 million on the national lottery.

Wheelies Cycle Care owner Neil Dexter is reported to have ‘sat screaming in his van’ when he realised a winning ticket was in his possession.

Neil and wife Lesley revealed themselves as joint winners of last week’s lottery rollover at the Royal York Hotel.

They told press: “We have always had to work hard and we haven’t quite got to where we wanted to be in life – this will make all the difference.”

Neil will continue to work at the store, though says he now plans to enjoy life beyond work.
