The Wilderness Trail Bikes line of tyres, saddles and other accessories has moved from Two Wheel Trading to Hot Wheels. Steve Fenton of ECDA continues as the OEM sales agent for WTB in the UK.

WTB goes to Hot Wheels

Hot Wheels has been appointed the official UK distributor for WTB products, the 20 year old brand of mid to top end MTB accessories.

Russell Merry from Hot Wheels said: "The brand has huge potential and it fits us like a glove. We intend to maintain our very strong position in BMX, but the growth in sales of Mongoose MTBs, the addition of GT and now WTB means that we have a much broader product range and appeal."

Hot Wheels will be able to supply replacement parts to dealers selling bikes specced with WTB parts.

The company is planning a consumer magazine advertising campaign to start early summer. The official relaunch will take place on the Hot Wheels stand at the International Cycle Convention, Harrogate, May 26-28th.

WTB’s Daniel Sherwood said: "The UK market has traditionally been a strong one for WTB. But in recent years the WTB brand, despite consistent consumer demand, has been difficult to find in the marketplace. The switch to Hot Wheels will immediately achieve a higher level of brand awareness while ensuring that the product is available at the consumer level. This increased awareness will also add perceived-value to the products of our OE partners."
