Interbike is awash with sublimatic-printed jerseys. One company will produce as few as six, custom-printed. But the stand out jerseys at the show are those from Cycles Le Femme created by New Yorker Jennifer Kaminski, a freelance designer and cyclist

Woman-specific apparel company is just four weeks old

Cycles Le Femme was founded just under a month ago and yet, in that short space of time, has produced a line-up of eight, classy women-specific jerseys; a good looking booth; an e-commerce website, and some excellent marketing materials.

The jerseys are said to have a new York theme but forget sky-scrapers and think, instead, New York’s "glorious parks, great neighbourhoods and fabulous bike trails," said Jennifer Kaminski, who created Cycles Le Femme on the insistence of a female riding partner.

Kaminski enjoys rides of 60-miles and above, and wanted cycle apparel that made her feel "sexy".

"The jerseys are form-fitting, they really accentuate the figure," said Kaminski.

Made from extra soft handle, silky, micro-denier polyester, the jerseys have the standard three pockets to the rear but also feature discrete zipped pockets at the front and the side.

Kaminski is seeking international distribution for her $85, stitched-in-the-USA jerseys, which are also sold from her company’s website (trade price = $42.50).
