Online cycle and tri-sports retailer Wiggle has added a new incident help and insurance feature to its app.
The feature is a dedicated cycle insurance and Wiggle legal accident help app that has been specifically designed to aid cyclists involved in a crash or similar accident.
The app provides a range of extra benefits in addition to the retail experience, giving Wiggle customers quick access to a range of services including cycle insurance and Wiggle Legal.
The Wiggle app launched 18 months ago and has already registered over 248,566 downloads. It now accounts for 20 per cent of Wiggle mobile sessions in the UK and is available in 12 territories including China, Japan and Australia.
Head of business development at Wiggle Kelly Barnes said: “Wiggle Cycle Insurance has seen tremendous growth since its launch in 2015 and as the financial services industry has started to see trends shift away from desktop driven sales and call centre claims to the mobile space, we wanted to lead the way and create the best mobile environment and experience for our customers to purchase insurance simply and make claims quickly.
“This new app functionality adds to our vision of a single channel to allow users to interact with Wiggle across a range of areas – they can shop at Wiggle, track their order, book cycle events and now purchase insurance, make claims and get free initial claims advice in one place.”
