Mountain Mayhem is set to return to Gatcombe Park next year, having declared this year’s instalment a success.
To be held on the Summer Solstice weekend of June 21st to 22nd, the 16th Mayhem will likely include trackside camping.
“We are very excited about 2014 already” said Patrick Adams, one half of Pacific Edge Events the owner and operator Mountain Mayhem. “Obviously, our first year at a new venue was a learning curve for us. Now we know all the little nuances of the new location we have a lot better idea of what is possible. For instance, we are already working on having trackside camping for next year which we know will please a lot of people.Anyone interested should sign up on our website and Facebook page for regular updates.”
Inspired by the 24 hour Utah Moab, which sadly no longer runs, Mountain Mayhem is growing year on year, according to Jill Greenfield, Patrick’s business partner. She said of the event: "“Patrick and I are always looking to the future of Mayhem. We are over the moon to have been invited back to Gatcombe Park.To be able to hold an event at a location a mountain biker would otherwise be unable to ride is almost unheard of – and what a location!"
