Ed Benjamin, a bicycle industry veteran and a noted authority on light electric vehicles, has been named vice president, light transport for WaveCrest Laboratories of the US.

WaveCrest develops electric propulsion systems that are featured in its TidalForce electric bicycles.

"Light electric vehicles will have a major impact on air quality and noise pollution, transportation needs, and quality of life for much of the world’s population," said Benjamin said. "The industry is in its infancy – it will grow explosively."
