Ahead of the debut season of the Madison Genesis team, Volvo Cars UK has come on board as team sponsor and official car supplier.
As part of the deal, the Madison Genesis team will use the top-of-the-range Volvo XC70 as team support cars. The Madison Genesis team is officially launching at the London Bike Show on Saturday January 19th.
Madison said that the involvement of a brand of Volvo’s calibre with the team ‘reaffirms our commitment to creating a credible top-level road team’.
Madison Genesis Team manager Roger Hammond commented: "The race convoy can be quite a hostile environment, so I’m really excited to be driving an XC70 that has the performance to take these conditions in its stride whilst also having the capacity to transport the spares necessary to keep a professional cycling team on the move."
