The fully-audited visitor figures won't be available for 6-8 weeks. A pre-audit figure will be released in two weeks but show organiser Louise Houston said, anecdotally, that the show had about 28 000 visitors, the same as last year. This year's 'Friday' had more visitors than last year's 'Monday'.

Visitor numbers at The Bike Show ‘on par’ with last year

There were no child concession tickets this year. Last year children paid £9 in advance or £12 on the door. This year they had to pay £13 in advance or £15 on the door.

"We took this move to encourage an older audience," said Houston.

"We are going to evaluate this decision and next year will likely allow child concession prices on the Friday only."

There were 2000 pre-registered riders on The Bike Show ride, less than anticipated.

Official figures for the number of show visitors and actual numbers on the ride will be published here when available.
