Cycling smartphone users get another bike mount option from new firm

VeloTrac launches iPhone and BlackBerry bike mount

US brand VeloTrac has produced a new smartphone holder for bikes, capable of handling iPhones, Blackberry’s Droid and various other similar devices, including the iPod Touch.

Protecting smartphones from damage while riding, the device holds the phone safely within the pack but with the screen visible for GPS and other functionality.

The firm is currently looking for bike dealers and distributors. Interested parties should contact Greg Haralson at contact@velotrac.com, or on (US) 1-214-577-8608.

There are an increasing number of cycling smartphone ‘apps’ available to riders, including the likes of Bike Hub’s route planner/shop locator app, Rapha’s ‘rendezvous‘ app, plus all manner of cycle magazine apps. Halfords has also got involved in the app market.
