Minneapolis, Minnesota firm couples fashion with performance, designed by riders

US women’s brand Moxie would love to be in the UK

Women’s specific cycle apparel brand Moxie Cycling has three key jerseys with multiple designs in its 2013 collection.

Spied by BikeBiz at Interbike 2012, the two year old brand couples performance aspects of cycle apparel with women-focused designs and fit.

The rider-created lines including the T-Back, Sweetheart and Ruched, all blending fashion and performance. Ergonomic seams and tagless designs prevent chafing, while a flattering neckline provides a comfortable fit, the firm said. The designs feature a built-in sports bra, keeping busty ladies ‘locked and loaded’ without the need for additional support. Other key features include long slimming silhouette close to the body, but without being clingy and preventing jersey creep. Other features are shared with cycle clothing for men and women, including ventilation points, pockets (three) at the rear, and moisture transport fabric that wicks away sweat.

At the Las Vegas show, Moxie told BikeBiz that the range will expand in 2014 to include tops, jackets and more. The Minneapolis, Minnesota-set brand told us it’s not yet in the UK, but would love to be.
