Fixie takes being seen on the bike to another level

UK’s first glow in the dark bike is powered by the sun

It’s been a good year for glow in the dark in the bike trade, first with night illuminated bike path trials and now with a bike that lights up in the dark.

The Illuminator is adorned with solar active paint, meaning that it will provide one hour of night illumination from one hour of natural daytime sunlight. UK cyclists need not despair though, as artificial UV lighting does the trick too.

Labelled the first bike in the UK to use glow in the dark technology, the Illuminator is currently retailing at new designer fixie bicycle retailer LDN Bike Cartel, RRP is £419.99.
