At a press conference in Montreal earlier today, WADA president Dick Pound said the UCI and Fifa - the last sporting bodies to sign up to the world anti-doping code - would soon comply.

UCI to sign doping code, says WADA boss

At last, the UCI is to sign the World Anti Doping Agency’s international code.

No signature, no cycling at the Olympic Games.

"All the international sport federations except the UCI have accepted to adopt the code," said Pound.

"The UCI have indicated it will accept later in July, and I think the target date is July 25th.

"It is quite late but it is nevertheless ahead of the Athens Olympics," said Pound
