Trixter Developments Ltd. of Stroud has announced that it will begin selling its X-Bike indoor cycle to the retail market as well as health clubs. The announcement came from Trixter's booth at the Sea Otter Classic at Laguna Seca Recreational Area, California.

Trixter’s static MTB available for retail sale

Alec Dinner, Trixter’s sales director, said:

"Many of the top cyclists in the world show up at this event to see where their indoor winter training has put them in the real world. And some of the best racers use our product to hone their skills, so this event was a natural."

Athletes using the X-Bike in their workout schedule include world MTB champion Greg Minnaar, former world MTB Missy Giove, and MTB racers Tracey Moseley and Fionn Griffiths, as well as the Renault Formula One Human Performance Centre, which trains the future stars of F1 racing.

The X-Bike is an indoor mountain bike with flat handlebars that see-saw, just like climbing on a real MTB.

This results in a more complete full-body workout than with other indoor cycles, claims Trixter.

Retail customers will receive with their $1195 X-Bike, a users’ manual, X-Biking training manual, workout profiles, and a CD with two 30-minute interval training sessions
