Leading manufacturers to give views on emerging trends

Tiawan’s industry execs to speak at Eurobike

Giant Manufacturing chief executive officer Antony Lo and other big-names from some of the world’s leading bicycle companies will share their views on the latest bike products and trends at the Taiwan Product Launch event during the Eurobike 2009 show.

The presentations will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the Lecture Room Switzerland of Messe Friedrichafen on September 3rd.

Company executives at the event include Giant CEO Antony Lo, Ming Cycle R&D manager Jacky Chu, Pacific Cycles president George Lin, Kenda general manager Hongder Chang and Kind Shock U.S. sales chief Rick Taylor.

Taiwan, which has the world’s second-largest bicycle industry, saw the value of bike exports jump by more than 17 per cent to US$407.7 million during the first quarter this year, based on statistics from the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association (TBEA).

Giant has increased manufacturing output from a mere 3,800 units in 1972 to approximately 5,200,000 units in 2008 with revenue of more than US$1.3 billion. Giant employs more than 8,000 people worldwide.
