Facilitator outlines how it intends to maintain commission charge level, the launch of Bike Miles and more

Third annual Cyclescheme conference outlines the future of C2W

Cyclescheme’s third supplier conference took lace last week, with 13 of the UK’s key cycling brands gathered in Bath to hear the market’s top facilitor of the scheme outline its vision for the future of Cycle to Work.

The conference was designed around a presentation from Cyclescheme providing the attendees with detailed data and results from the Cyclescheme Consumer Survey, carried out earlier in the year. In addition, financial projections, the future of cycle to work and the Cyclescheme vision for continued ongoing commitment and support for the independent bicycle dealers (IBDs) was shared with the group.

Director of Cyclescheme Daniel Gillborn told attendees how the provider will invest to ensure Cyclescheme maintains its value to the independent retail.

The meet also signalled the launch of Bike Miles, detailed here.

Gillborn said of the meet: “This conference format has evolved over the last two and a half years and we continue to engage with this important audience to ensure we put day light between us and our competitors and remain ‘ahead of the curve’ in terms of innovation when representing our IBD’s.”

Cyclescheme sales and marketing manager, Stephen Holt, added: “We are committed to growing sales for the independent bike trade. In a marketplace with more and more facilitators we are investing heavily to ensure that our payment terms, management systems and training reflect our position as the leading scheme provider. There is no need for bike shops to look elsewhere. We look forward to working productively with all of our partner stores and brands in 2013.”
