StreetVelodrome has announced that Viking Bikes will act as the official race bike partner for the 2017 season.
The pop-up cycle event appears in town and city centres across the country as well as some of the UK’s biggest cycle sport events.
A key part of the tour is the televised pro, elite and amateur UK StreetVelodrome Series competitions, which see the best male and female riders battle for top honours. Viking Bikes will provide participants with equally specified performance race bikes.
The first event will be held at the London Bike Show on Saturday, February 18th.
StreetVelodrome series director Carl Thompson said: “We are thrilled to have the backing and support of Viking Bikes. The whole team has fully embraced our desire to make cycle sport more accessible and we are delighted they can join us for our first event of the year at the London Bike Show.”
Avocet managing director Steven Walsh added: “StreetVelodrome and Viking share a common goal of bringing cycling to more people to inspire future generations. The Viking range encompasses a wide selection of types of bike to suit the ever-increasing demands of changing lifestyles and modern environments.
“The Viking brand is about accessibility and entertainment and it’s vital we partner with companies like StreetVelodrome who share that vision.”
