British Cycling is to get £13m over four years

Sport England invests £315m in 32 sports

Sport England, the strategic lead for sport in England, has today announced its four-year funding, totalling some £315m for 32 priority and development sports in England.

Sport governing bodies had to meet participation, success and modernisation targets. The investment spans grassroots to international elite performance and focuses on developing a thriving infrastructure of clubs, coaches and volunteers.

British Cycling will get £13 413 055 over the next four years.

For April 2005 to April 2009, Badminton gets £16m, canoeing £7.9m, gymnastics £8.5m, rowing £13.4m, swimming £17.8m and cricket £18m.

Pauper sports football and golf get £57m and £9.3m respectively.

Triathlon is to get £3.5m over four years.
