And debuts Revell bikes at Cycle

Split Second gets Pro-tec (ted)

Split Second imports announced at Cycle ’08 that it has taken on the Pro-tec helmet brand. Cycle was also the distributor’s platform to show off the Revell bikes range for the first time.

Andrew Bishop of Split Second told BikeBiz: "Pro-tec are a fantastic brand that compliment our BMX and now MTB jump bikes. We have an immediate amount of stock at present, however the next batch is due to arrive early next year. Split Second will be doing a mail-out to all Pro-tec dealers shortly."

Paligap will no longer carry the helmet brand, however the distributor has passed Split Second its stockist list for the brand.

Cycle ’08 saw the Revell brand unveiling, which consists of both 24 and 26-inch bikes, all of which are available to order now.

Interest in coloured bikes and parts was rife at Cycle, with DMR showing off a brand new five-colour anodized range, among others.

Bishop commented on the trend toward colour co-ordinated bikes, stating: "We only have one black bike on our entire stand this year. Wheels are the latest product to get the colour teatment and our brand, Stolen Bikes, has just launched a glow-in-the-dark, powder-coated finish to its wheels."

Split Second are also the distributors for Ruption, Stolen and Eastern bikes.
