London show reveals, er, Manchester spin off

Spin London and Manchester planned for May 2016

Following what the organisers said was a very successful edition of the ‘Spin London’ show in May 2015, two editions have been announced for 2016.

Taking place in London and Manchester, the show has been rebranded ‘Spin – The Cycling Festival’, as the events confirm a series of major partnerships to add breadth and scale.

Spin Manchester takes place 6-8 May at the Victoria Warehouse located alongside Old Trafford and Media City. Spin London returns to a newly developed Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane on 20-22 May. The organier said both venues offer "an ambitious backdrop and are perfectly located in the heart of each city with excellent access via key public transport".

Mercury Events will provide support, structure and expertise to ensure Spin can continue to grow.

Alex Daw, founder of Spin London, said: “Mercury Events has a superb reputation for delivering shows that unite and add major value to their markets. After two years of independently operating the shows I am extremely pleased to have secured their support and look forward to announcing a series of other brilliant content and brand partnerships very soon.”

The Spin shows were set up to assemble cycling, fashion and design culture. The festivals will feature over 200 exhibitors with editorial content ranging from curated bike exhibits to talks and races with pro-cyclists; from premiere bike film screenings to artisan coffee, street-food and craft beer pop-ups; from bicycle art installations to our dedicated test tracks and much more.

A dedicated industry and VIP evening will kick off the shows, followed by a weekend of cycling celebration, expected to draw in over 30,000 cycling-centric individuals in 2016. For more information contact Alex Daw on alex.daw@mercuryevents.com or 020 3627 3260.
