Yesterday morning a lorry with a container containing 321 Specialized bicycles, with a retail value of £200k, was hi-jacked en route from Thurrock to the Specialized warehouse in Mitcham Surrey. If any IBDs are offered brand-new Specialized bikes, they should inform Specialized.

Specialized lorry hijacked; 321 bikes stolen

The driver of the lorry was found in a lay-by by police and subsequently taken to hospital where he was kept in overnight. The tractor unit, trailer and container were taken and were today found in Ashford, Kent.

"Needless to say the bicycles are missing," said Specialized UK’s Richard Hemington.
