The Swedish compass-and-headtorch company introduces clamp-on and wrap-on bike lights.

Silva adds handlebar lights to bike range

Silva of Sweden has launched a new series of bike lights, the Singletrack mountain bike light, Velo road and commuting light and Simi wrap-on LED lights.

The Singletrack is a £299 1030 lumens light and can be attached to a helmet or handlebar. The Singeltrack’s ‘Intelligent Light System’ is said to create a triangle of light which is wider at the bottom, helping to illuminate more while minimising light ‘bounce’ from higher objects such as leaves.

The Velo is a £49 110 lumens for road bikers and commuters. The Velo runs on standard AAA batteries and can also work as a red rear light in emergencies.

The Simi wrap-on light is available in four different colours – green, turquoise, purple and grey – and with the choice of either a front white light or rear red light. The Simi costs £9.99
