Shimano teased a new groupset at Eurobike, one that will have escaped the attention of many looking solely at the performance gear.
Dubbed Metrea, the 1×11 kit appears to be designed for clean lined city bikes, offering a choice of time trial style or a more standardised lever/shifter combination.
Though details are still thin on the ground, we do know that a mechanic and hydraulic brake will form part of the line, including a 140mm IceTech rotor.
The crank is based around a Hollowtech design and integrates a guard for the sprocket.
