Zyro-sponsored event returns this spring

Second Altura Whinlatter MTB challenge to arrive in March

Last year’s debut Altura Whinlatter MTB challenge is be followed up with another, taking place next month.

The 2010 event is billed as a ‘cross country mountain bike endurance event’ with two course distances – the longer approximately 30 miles and the shorter a 15-mile loop – opening the vent up to a broader range of riders.

The steep and technical terrain of the courses at Winlatter Forest, Keswick promise to make the event tough, taking in the Altura trail, bridleways and fire roads and single track descents, technical climbs and short fast road sections.

200 riders have already signed up to the 2010 event. Bike shop Cyclewise, located on site, offers bike hire and coaching.

The Altura Whinlatter MTB Challenge takes place on Sunday March 21st at Whinlatter Forest, Keswick. For more details click here.
