Tentatively called the ‘Scorpion’, the rack you’ll see below doesn’t look cheap and there’s a reason for that.
The manufacturer of this elegant machined unit is Sea Sucker, now a brand found within Fisher Outdoor’s stocks.
Set to be available in limited numbers by Christmas, the firm told BikeBiz: "This is a high-end rack. It’s designed to have a small footprint and as such is ideal for convertibles or sports cars. To sit with the four suction cups we’ve developed a ball joint that allows the rack to mold to the many curves found on high-end car’s body panels."
What’s more, there will apparently be a wide variety of colours achievable with the ‘Scorpion’ and while Sea Sucker wouldn’t say they’d colourmatch, they believed that most customers would be able to find a shade to compliment their car’s paintwork.
The projected price is around the $800 mark and axle adapters will be available.
