One hundred Gianni Bugno Limited Edition World Champion’s jerseys are arriving in the UK, from Santini.
Designed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Italian rider’s famous 1991 World Championship winning ride, the Gianni Bugno exclusive replica jersey is now available from Fisher Outdoor Leisure on a first-come first-served basis.
Bugno enjoyed a season-long battle with the all-conquering Miguel Indurain in 1991. Beaten by the Spaniard in the Tour de France of that year, Bugno beat his rival in the Worlds and went on to repeat his WC success in the following year, beating Laurent Jalabert to the famous rainbow stripes.
The Limited Edition jersey comes in a presentation box, with a £129.99 RRP.
“This is a stunning jersey and a real piece of cycling history,” explained Fisher’s Santini brand manager Jonathan Sangan.
“We have secured one hundred pieces for the UK out of a global total of one thousand jerseys. Our past experience tells us that they will go very quickly with our Limited Edition Giro jersey having sold out in 48 hours”.
