Cyclehoop has cannily launched a series of safety conscious ‘I Bike LDN’ t-shirts in time for the start of the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme in London tomorrow.
The flourescent t-shirts are available in a range of colours and styles, with the ‘I Bike LDN’ logo in reflective print.
A new special edition will be available as of tomorrow, with a print of the Barclay’s Cycle Hire bicycle and license plate style rear graphic reading ‘B1KE LDN’.
Cyclehoop MD and founder of IbikeLDN Anthony Lau said: “We wanted to launch a clothing product that would really help to promote the new Barclay’s Cycle Hire initiative; so we thought that combining the catchy ‘I Bike LDN’ logo with the safety-conscious colours would be a great way in which to do so.
"Not only can cyclists share the message that they are part of the cycling revolution, but the eye-catching colours will help to increase their visibility on the streets – something that is important with so many new cyclists riding in London’s traffic.”
“The Cycle Hire Scheme itself is a fantastic concept, and has worked well for other cities around the world, such Paris. Considering the fact that cycling across London has increased drastically in the past few years, this suggests that this could be a huge success; especially given the convenience and financial benefits. We really hope that these T-Shirts will help to spread to cycling message across not only London but the rest of the UK; helping to persuade people that they too will want to become part of the ‘I Bike LDN’ revolution.”
