Distributor Saddleback is to exclusively distribute Vredestein products from today.
Performance tyre manufacturer Vredestein has worked in the bicycle and motor industry for over a century and is based at Enschede in the Netherlands.
The firm currently sells seven million tyres per year and is used by the Katusha professional cycling team – including Robbie McEwen and English rider Ben Swift – and the Felt International MTB Team – including former world champ Miguel Martinez.
“We have been looking for sometime to include a high end tyre line to our business as we see it as a direct compliment to the large market share we already have with Zipp,” enthused Saddleback director Andy Wigmore.
“We were impressed that in this mass produced age we live in that Vredestein tyres are all still hand made and this clearly shows in the quality of the product when you compare it with some of the other brands that are out there.”
