ATB Sales Ltd has relinquished UK distribution of Manitou forks after brand-owner Answer requested the company re-establish an in-house UK warranty service, which was outsourced by ATB Sales last year

Raw takes on Answer

Jon Holdcroft of ATB Sales has written to Manitou stockists informing them of the changeover to Raw, which takes effect on July 9th.

He said:

"Answers’ corporate policy has changed in the interest of OEM product support. Inevitably OEM service levels are intrinsic to a company’s buying decision regarding forks and Answer had approached us with proposals to reestablish warranty service in house, rather than by a third party. This was a cost and not a service related issue.

"After careful consideration, we have taken the view that we do not wish to go back down that route and…encouraged Answer to find an alternative distributor that [was] prepared to cater for the entire package."

Raw Experience of Edinburgh were eager to take the full role onboard, including after market sales, service and support.

"We wish them every success with their new business," said Holdcroft.

He added:

"For 2002 Manitou continue to push the boundaries of fork development with their new Black and Mars range of forks and we will continue to work closely with Answer Products to provide the latest technology fork systems for the Marin range of bikes."
