Thanks to a link up with Thomson Holidays, Raleigh bikes now come with a "free extra week's holiday". The deal lasts until Jan 31st 2001.

Raleigh aims to boost customer traffic with free hols promo

Raleigh stockists have been provided with point-of-purchase materials describing the holiday deal with Thomson’s.

When a consumer purchases a Raleigh bike for £150 or more, they are automatically entitled to an extra week’s holiday. If, that is, they are already booked on a Thomson holiday (or if they are planning on doing so).

The campaign will be supported with full page ads in The Times, The Sun, The Daily Mail and The Mirror.

Alison Ostick, Raleigh’s new marketing manager, says the ads will reach over 12 million people:

"Our aim is to drive consumers in-store and give them a powerful extra incentive to buy Raleigh. The promotion gives retailers a great opportunity to sell up to a higher-price ticket bike, while giving families the tangible benefit of a huge saving on their next holiday."

IBDs need to register for the promotion. Any who have yet to do so can call Alan Maxwell on 0115 942 0202.
