Paligap and CycleOps have teamed up to create a brand new trade-in offer for consumers and bike shops.
The firm said: "Paligap & CycleOps want to make a meaningful contribution to encourage IBD sales on CycleOps trainers and the trainer category in general. Together we are supporting independent dealers with a free gift offering to consumers. A CycleOps Joule Cycle Computer and Speed sensor combo worth £120 RRP. This promotion is only available in-store for consumers to take advantage of IBD service and expertise."
Paligap MD David Lane added: "We understand the competitive nature of the indoor trainer market, and have chosen to support dealers with this unique IBD in-store only promotion because we value the sales and service that the IBD can offer the consumer.
"This is our opportunity to support dealers to “Win at Retail” with industry leading design, build quality and a Lifetime warranty."
The Offer: Free CycleOps Joule & speed sensor (worth £120 RRP) with any trade-in of any brand of old trainer when they purchase a new CycleOps Trainer (Magneto, Fluid2, SuperMagneto, Jet Fluid Pro & SuperMagneto Pro).
Participating dealers will receive a flat packed full sized display unit and removable decal highlighting the offer. Unit holds 5 boxed trainers and one show unit.
By using a high value gift as an incentive, it protects in some way, margin for the dealer. For the consumer, it allows them to get speed and distance information when using their CycleOps trainer.
An additional dealer benefit is the upgrade path access to CycleOps Virtual Training and other programs supported by ANT+ (CycleOps ANT+ USB available (RRP £45)*
There’ll be an in-depth advertising campaign to support it too, Paligap said, including ads with Cycling Weekly, BikeRadar, road.cc, Cycling Plus and 220 Triathlon.
