Pete Bird formerly of tandem specialists Swallow Cycles which went pop a few months back is now an employee of Dawes and its dotcom start-up, tandemania.com. This was unveiled to the public for the first time at BIKE2000

Yet with 30 000+ hardcore bike enthusiasts breaking the door down to get in over the weekend this power-house of a show is suffering badly from lack of industry support. Could a merger with the Cycle & Leisure Show ever work?

The BCF has an excellent hands-on stand at the show, a head to head 200m sprint on indoor bike trainers and Trek bikes (but don't go for the left hand bike, the rollers are sticking!)
