Show organisers reveal extended cycle presence at NEC-set exhibition

Outdoors show to co-locate with new triathlon exhibition

Next year’s Outdoors Show, set at the NEC, Birmingham, is to co-locate alongside a new triathlon-specific show – TriLive 2010.

Aimed at experienced and first-time triathletes, TriLive is being touted as the only triathlon show north of London, while the Outdoors Show is promising to provide appeal to the cycle market too. According to post-show feedback, 68 per cent of the attendees were interested in road cycling, while 76 per cent were interested in mountain biking.

The show organisers told BikeBiz after this year’s show: "There’s certainly scope to expand our cycle trade offering. The bike arena was, without a doubt, one of the show’s most popular features and going forward there will be sponsorship opportunities attached to these attractions.”

The Outdoors Show will see over 250 exhibitors and names from the outdoors world – including James Cracknall, Ben Fogle and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
